reiki In the last few decades Reiki System of Natural Healing has seen a huge rise in the popularity and it doesn’t come as surprise that it is now one of most sought-after healing systems. There are many different reasons why people come to reiki. For some it is the spirituality and for the other it is rather the physical or emotional pain they need help with. Reiki indeed offers a “home” for many seekers due to its different path one can take. There are several learning path one can take in the reiki. These learning path are:
- Learning Reiki Healing
- Learning Reiki Energetics
- Learning (Reiki) Spirituality
These Reiki Paths should not be taken strictly as separate path for while one follows learning reiki healing path he/she will have to experience reiki energy and which at the same time helps on learning and experiencing the spiritualuall path.
Learning Reiki Healing is the area of great interest for many and in today post we will look into several reiki treatment. Before we go any further about learning reiki treatment it is important to remind us that in the USA Reiki is part of complimentary and alternative medicine and as such does not replace Certified Medical Practitioner. If you have any serious medical conditions you need to talk to you Physician and inform him as well if you are practicing reiki or being treated by somebody else.
What Is Reiki Treatment?
It is important to understand that reiki treatment differs from many other forms for it doesn’t use any type of medication. Reiki Treatment is based on the use of (unseen) universal life force energy (for more information about this ready my post: How Does Reiki Work). During Reiki Treatment person to receive reiki treatment usually lies down on the reiki table (or even on the ground), and remains fully closed. There might be some relaxation background music but it is not necessary for reiki treatment to be effective. Also it is very common that Reiki Practitioner talks during the reiki treatment. Here is the break down on different methods of reiki treatment:
- Hands-On Reiki Treatment
- Reiki Intuitive Healing
- Full Body Reiki Treatment
- Localized Reiki Treatment
- Absent Reiki Healing
- Mental Reiki Healing
Hands-On Reiki Treatment.
Hands-On Reiki Treatment refers to treating “in person” so to say. There are three approaches to hands-on reiki treatment: Intuitive Approach to Reiki Treatment, Full Body Reiki Treatment and Localized Reiki Treatment. Let’s now look into each one of them:
Reki Intuitive Approach To Reiki Treatment
It is said the Dr. Usui was using intuitive approach to reiki treatment. It is usually referred to as Reiki Byosen Scanning and is based on scanning body for the problem area (or hibiki). This technique is based on the idea that negative energy or hibiki will give different sensations due to different vibration. While this technique seems to be simple in its form it is rather considered to be advanced technique and it assumes that practitioner already have developed his/her subtle energy sensation ability. To make things even more complicated not everybody will experience the same sensations. One could feel pulsing while for other it could be some sort of pulling, tingling, heat, coolness or even pain. In addition to this another point to consider when using intuitive approach during reiki treatment is that while the source of illness may be at one point its manifestation could be somewhere else in the body.
The practitioner does this technique by starting from the prayer position making his intent statement and start scanning person usually from the top of the head and moving slowly down the body. The hands are usually held 1-2 inch away from the body.
